I can speak and understand Chinese but I can’t write or read it well. I have long made use of Chinese songs to learn Chinese and I have always been fortunate that there’s always English translations to Chinese songs I listen to. This song below, is one I came across where I just could not find the translation lurking anywhere. So, I’ve decided to write my own. This is my first attempt at translating Chinese lyrics to English in all the years that I’ve been listening to Chinese music. Please pardon any mistakes in the language – there are some words in Chinese that I just can’t find the English equivalent. Or maybe my Chinese comprehension is just not good enough.
Anyway, this is written for a good friend, who share my love for words.
